D. Christopher Hikes, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon whose area of expertise involves adult reconstructive surgery, with emphasis on total joint replacement of
the knee and hip.

A native of Michigan, Dr. Hikes completed his undergraduate work at Michigan State University. He earned his medical doctorate from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Hikes’ postgraduate training includes an internship at Providence Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. General surgery and orthopedic surgery residency training were done at Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Hikes’ continuing medical education includes many advanced courses, seminars and symposia.

Dr. Hikes performs his surgery at Providence Portland Medical Center. At this time, he is also actively involved in clinical research, consultation
and professional presentations of reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee joints.

Dr. Hikes is a member of many professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is a charter member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
